I went hear with my very hungry family late one morning. The number of people in the place at 10am on a Thursday was surprising. Right when you walk in is a big display case of delicious-looking pastries. Tempted by a sweet breakfast, but in need of a hearty savory one, we ordered 5 breakfasts between four people. The Vegetable Omelet was perfect, as were the Apple-Molasses pancakes in a honey-butter! Also, the "cinnamon french toast" is a cinnamon bun cut in half, french toast-a-fied, and topped with fresh berries. What an excellent idea.

This is a nice place to have lunch. The chili was very good and the cornbread was freshly made. The grilled cheese sandwich was nicely done, but the fries were bland. Service was pretty quick and friendly.

Great place for comfortable casual dining. A must stop in Chesapeake City!!! Try the eggs Benedict as they are prepared perfectly with a great hollandaise sauce!!

Ordered: corned beef hash with 2 poached eggs, wheat bread Corn beef hash tasted like it came out of a can, received white bread. Home fries were burnt and soggy. Inattentive staff, empty coffee cups. Unfortunately a group of 12 loud, obnoxious grown adults came in and ruined our breakfast.

This place is severely understaffed for being the only breakfast spot in town. They had one girl working about 12 different tables on a surprisingly busy Monday morning. It's a shame because the food wasn't bad, but clearly she was overwhelmed. I noticed what appeared to be the manager in the back on the phone for most of the meal. He probably could have hung up the phone and came out to help. Oh well. Maybe next time.

If you happen to be fortunate to Stay at the Little Fisherman's Warf Cottage, across from the Bayard House, you'll be treated to Breakfast at this Quaint Little Café, Located among the Neat Shops of Chesapeake City. The Chef / Owner of the Bayard House also owns the Bohemia Café. He brings his Austrian Culinary Talent to this little Café. Delightful Breakfasts, Pastries, Lunch, and limited Dinner Menu will surely satisfy your Palette. GREAT, SWIFT, SERVICE!! ENJOY! CHEF GARY CURRY

Had both lunch and breakfast here on a recent trip. Lunch was a turkey rueben on rye which was absolutely delicious. Swapped fries for a side salad (slight upcharge), which was very fresh and tasty. Ice tea was brewed in house and was just right. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a delicious veggie omelet with homefries. Coffee was very good. Portion size was ample, but not overwhelming. Service remained good. We also ordered carry out sandwiches for later in the day - they were fine, not great, but it's not fair to judge sandwiches that have been sitting in the fridge for several hours. Would definitely go back - sorry that it's not local, because it would be a regular weekend breakfast/lunch place.

Just the right place to have lunch if you are spending some time in Chesapeake City. It's a cute town for an afternoon visit, nice walking areas. The food here is good sandwiches and good breakfast. It's not massively "gourmet" but it's good and the room is pleasant and cheery in an old-fashioned way. A cut above the usual hash joints that proliferate on the Eastern Shore.

We lived our visit to Chesapeake City and stopped in to the Bohemia Cafe at least two or three times for breakfast. It was a perfect quick breakfast, no waiting and good coffee. The muffins were really good. I had the breakfast burrito which was delicious and filling enough I shared it with my husband.

Great breakfast. Great service. Great prices. Fresh ingredients. Short waits. Friendly owner. Quite simply, a delightful place to take your family for a meal. Our choice for breakfast every time. Had lunch there a few times... Just as good as I'd hoped.

I could not find this nice place on Yelp because I searched under breakfast and lunch restaurants. It only came up under a Cafe or Bakery search. This is a nice little place in quaint Chesapeake City. We loved this town and discovered it accidentally driving through Maryland on the rural route to Annapolis. Their crab chowder had a great flavor, but they were skimpy on the amount of crab. My wife had the same complaint about the claim chowder. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. This seems to be the perfect breakfast and lunch place and moderately priced. We also discovered the proprietor also owns the Bayard House restaurant on the canal.
